I am happy that our community is supportive

I'm incredibly proud that, thanks to CAC, climbers worldwide are united for a higher purpose. Climbing should be, above all, joy and fun. But thanks to all of you, climbing can also be a help and I am happy that our community is supportive.

Climbers Against Cancer celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2024, with total donations of over 700,000 EUR and 80,000 EUR this year alone, including:

1. Nepal project, training doctors to use existing radiotherapy equipment to treat children.

2. Climbing Beyond Cancer – using our wonderful activity as a part of a recovery regime for cancer patients in Grenoble , Calgary and Inverness

3. Funding and awareness for ‘the Big Four’ (Breast/Prostate/Bowel/Skin cancer) in UK

4. Tanzania project with the vision that no child in Tanzania suffers or dies unnecessarily from cancer.

5. Cancer research at the University of Belgrade for an innovative approach to treating people diagnosed with melanoma.

6. Research at the University of Arizona Cancer Centre to find a novel small molecule compound to target colorectal cancer.
